A striking but forgotten building, Centric House sits at the heart of Liverpool city centre.

NoChintz was appointed by property investment and development company, CERT Property, to refresh the building’s communal areas and exterior in order to offer an attractive proposition for potential tenants. With a focus on consistency of user experience, the studio went beyond the original brief to deliver an impressive brand identity, interior and wayfinding scheme that takes its cues from the hospitality and retail sectors.

This meticulously considered new identity enables a cohesive user experience throughout the building, bought to life through vibrant branding that creates a natural dialogue with the architecture that houses it.

Modular furniture, a refined material palette and playful navigation systems respond to the curves and symmetry of the existing building while the small entrance space is maximised through texture and transparency. 

NoChintz challenges the expected throughout Centric House’s reception area, which reimagines this much used but often disregarded space as more than a simple thoroughfare. An opportunity to co-work here promotes a sense of community that would otherwise not be possible, acting as a catalyst for the beginnings of the of the ‘Centric House network’ – a proposition that, together with the wider application of the studio’s design direction, positions Centric House as one of the most desirable addresses from which to do successful business in the city, across that nation and beyond.
