Coffee at Whitworth Locke
Creative studio NoChintz launches the second location for its Food and Beverage brand ‘Foundation Coffee House’ within the Locke hotels flagship apart-hotel in Manchester – Whitworth Locke.
Bringing a coffee centred lifestyle to a new neighbourhood, FDN Whitworth opens its doors to a new community around its Whitworth Street location. The design led space creates a backdrop where people can socialise, host meetings, showcase artworks, hold workshops, learn about coffee and more. With a high quality menu of the finest coffee, cocktails, brunch and cakes to compliment.
Located alongside the Locke Hotel, FDN is surrounded by individuals whom share their passion for creating experiences which are accessible for all. Where creativity is allowed to lead and drive forwards a successful venture. Underpinned by the same focus on a coffee centred menu and packed diary of events and activations; FDN Whitworth will create its own identity and grow in a new direction with a kinship to the established NQ site.
Owned and operated by NoChintz, a full service design studio, the space has been meticulously designed to deliver a calming, creative and flexible environment; where they can continue to grow the brand and showcase the studios commercial portfolio.
The design is a continuation of the Northern Quarter space and tells the story of how the brand has matured and become more confident as it has established itself as one of the best coffee destinations in the North West. Considered details such as bolt head tiling, etched mottos, bespoke lighting and exposed finishes celebrate the cities industrial past and the studios industrious ethos.
The motto at Foundation is ‘Coffee Is Everything’. This is because coffee is at the heart of everything that they do, and it informs how they approach everything FDN has to offer; with quality, consideration, accessibility and constant refinement. Foundation Whitworth stays true to this statement and delivers a new all day destination in the city.
