Locker is a boutique brand of training facilities exclusive to the Locke Living group of aparthotels, offering guest-only access to a gym built around functional fitness.

NoChintz was briefed with creating an individual identity for the space that sits within, but distinct from the rest of the hotel at Whitworth Locke in central Manchester.

With a hydration and cool down area, bespoke storage and equipment delivered via NoChintz’s partnership with industry-leading training brand,  Eleiko, the concept achieves a premium feel through a design that takes its cues from the traditional locker found in gyms across the world.

Smoked statement mirrors wrap Locker, offering a distinctive and aspirational environment refined by a strong and simple framework. Durable, gridded spaces enable users to define their own workouts within the wider gym environment while lighter, dusty tones meet dark, atmospheric greys offer both division and cohesion across the gym’s areas.

Through a successful integrated design, NoChintz’s work on Locker has helped Whitworth Locke achieve five star reviews that show no sign of waning.

NoChintz continue to roll out the new brand standard of in house gyms for the Locke brand across us portfolio of European Apart Hotels.
